Erasmus

This European Union programme named after Erasmus of Rotterdam promotes cooperation between universities in Europe and the mobility of students and lecturers. Thanks to this programme, study visits to other European countries are made possible with financial support while study credits will be regocnised. The Institute of Archaeological Studies maintains partnerships with 15 universities in 6 different countries.

PONS

The "PONS - Humanities and Cultural Studies" programme, originally developed for the subject of Classical Archaeology, promotes the mobility of students in Germany and enables them to spend a guest semester at one of the partner universities with recognition of study credits at their home university. In addition to Classical Archaeology, Bochum's Pre- and Protohistory department has also been part of the network of more than 20 universities for some time now.
