The European Union programme named after Erasmus of Rotterdam promotes cooperation between universities in Europe and the mobility of students and lecturers. Thanks to this programme, study visits to other European countries are made possible with recognition of study credits and financial support.

At the RUB the International Office acts as a contact point for initial information on organisational issues.

The ESN (ERASMUS STUDENT NETWORK) offers assistance and guidance, as well as useful expertise for a planned stay abroad. It also providess help for students from foreign universities in Bochum.

If explicitly requested by students, new partnerships can be organised with other universities and other countries.
